Il decreto salva Italia, Legge n. 9 del 2014, ha dato all'Autorità per le Garanzie nelle COMunicazioni (AGCOM) il compito di costituire una banca dati di tutte le reti di accesso ad Internet esistenti sul territorio nazionale

La banca dati offre dunque la possibilità di analizzare lo stato di sviluppo dell'offerta di accesso ad Internet al singolo indirizzo, nonché la possibilità di fare valutazioni comparative sulle diverse tecnologie e velocità.

Le informazioni, utilizzabili in maniera semplice e intuitiva, possono essere utilizzare dai singoli utenti curiosi di sapere a casa propria quale infrastruttura di accesso ad Internet arriva; dagli operatori per definire i propri piani di investimento; dal Governo e dalle Istituzioni ed Enti locali per identificare eventuali misure per colmare il divario digitale.

The Save Italy Decree Law no. 9 of 2014, gave to the Communications Authority (AGCOM), the task of setting up a database of all the Internet access networks existing in Italy

The database thus offers the possibility to analyze the state of the Internet access offer development to a single address, as well as the ability to make comparative assessments of various technologies and speed.

The information that can be used in a simple and intuitive, can be used by individual users curious to know at home as an Internet-access infrastructure arrives; by operators to define their investment plans; by the government and local institutions and organizations to identify possible measures to bridge the digital divide.
